Last week on Thursday 27th June a group of Gayhurst pupils took part in Bike Around The Borough, the mass  cycling event arranged by Hackney Council. Along with pupils from many other Hackney schools they cycled a 9 mile circuit around the borough that ended in London Fields, where they had lunch and  enjoyed activities that were put on for the cyclists including a BMX display. All who took part said they thoroughly enjoyed the day. Marcus, our cycling instructor, said the pupils did Gayhurst proud. “I was really very impressed by them. One of the event’s organisers even commented on what competent cyclists the Gayhurst pupils were.”
