This year we will be celebrating World Book Day on Friday 3rd March.

It is the 20th anniversary of World Book Day and we’re hoping it will be the best yet.

To show our love of reading, we will be dressing up as our favourite story book characters and it would be fantastic to see Gayhurst children do the same. Whilst shop bought costumes look very smart, we are encouraging the children to make their own costumes this year and we will be awarding certificates to each class. So, start thinking about which of your favourite book characters you would like to dress up as and how you will make your costumes.

We can’t wait to see the imaginative costumes you create!

Below are a number of links to websites for some great home-made costume ideas.
