Reader’s Digest Competition

Do you think you could write a story in exactly 100 words? Reader’s Digest are again running their popular 100-word story competition, and if you are up for the challenge, you could win an amazing prize and see your story published!  In the under-12s category, the winner will receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (9.7" Tablet, 32 GB), plus £100 for their school. Two runners up will each receive £75. Entries can be submitted at

The closing date is 20th February 2017, and winners will be announced in the magazine in June 2017. 

If you would like your teacher to read and mark your story before you submit your entry, bring it to school by 3rd February. All winning stories will also be published in Reader's Digest magazine. 

 

Hackney Museum Time Capsule Competition

Hackney Museum are looking for entries to go into a time capsule that will tell people of the future what Hackney is like today and predict what Hackney will be like in the future. The time capsule will be buried under the Town Hall in 2017. You could draw a picture or write a letter to Hackney’s future residents. Templates can be foundat the bottom of this page. All of the entries will be scanned and included on a USB stick and the favourites will be             included as hard copies. The deadline is 6th January 2017.
